THE WEIST-BARRON-RYAN RISING STARS ACTING PROGRAM
IT'S A FAMILY
Weist-Barron-Ryan is a family owned acting studio and casting agency based in Atlantic County, NJ since 1980, Cumberland County, NJ since 2022, and Burlington / Camden County since 2024. Recently, we cast Tony Goldwyn's "Ezra", an autism awareness film that features more than 30 of our Rising Stars. Before then, we cast Halle Berry's directorial debut with "Bruised", shot in Atlantic City and premiered on Netflix, as well as "Death Saved My life" starring Meagan Good, which shot in Cherry Hill and aired on Lifetime.
Since 2013, we have opened our doors to a group that is near and dear to our hearts. Individuals with Developmental Disabilities have become a huge part of our lives and one of our favorite sectors of the company. We train students with autism, behavior disorders, brain injury, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome, intellectual disabilities and more. Our program offers a wide variety of opportunities that we are confident will meet the goals and needs of all of our students. Whether students participate for fun, want to work on self confidence, are serious about entering the industry, or all of the above, we are confident that the Weist-Barron-Ryan Rising Stars Program will be what they are looking for. Where do I begin with how wonderful acting workshops have been for my daughter, Lauren? She is more talkative, has more eye contact, is more open to talking to people outside of her family and in making small talk and she loves it! It has been the bright spot in an otherwise rough past few years . They continued to work with these young adults online and it helped them maintain their friendships as well as hone their craft and to have fun! We love all the wonderful people at WBR Lada, Tristan, Quinn and Stefanie, and they are just the BEST! Thank you!

Wow, you really know how to make a mom feel good! It’s uncommon to get positivity. What I can hear from the zoom workshops is Tristan’s very calm, gentle and caring ways. I particularly feel he is a “master of redirection” which is difficult to do at times but he’s amazing at it. Positivity creates a safe environment for disabled people who have “closed down” and are not taking learning risks. We are grateful to be a part of Weist-Barron-Ryan’s Rising Star Program as their nurturing, caring positive environment is almost impossible to find!
