IT'S A FAMILY
Weist-Barron-Ryan is a family-owned acting studio and casting agency serving Atlantic County, NJ since 1980. We've worked on countless major motion projects, such as "Ezra" starring Robert De Niro which about 20 of our Rising Stars worked in.
Since 2013, our Rising Stars Acting Program has empowered individuals with developmental disabilities in the world of film and television. Our goal is to build confidence, develop important life skills, and help individuals experience the excitement of performing on camera.

Whether students participate for fun, want to work on self confidence, are serious about entering the industry, or all of the above, we are confident that the Weist-Barron-Ryan's Rising Stars Acting Program will be what they are looking for.

Where do I begin with how wonderful acting workshops have been for my daughter, Lauren? She is more talkative, has more eye contact, is more open to talking to people outside of her family and in making small talk and she loves it! It has been the bright spot in an otherwise rough past few years . They continued to work with these young adults online and it helped them maintain their friendships as well as hone their craft and to have fun! We love all the wonderful people at WBR Lada, Tristan, Quinn and Stefanie, and they are just the BEST! Thank you!

Wow, you really know how to make a mom feel good! It’s uncommon to get positivity. What I can hear from the zoom workshops is Tristan’s very calm, gentle and caring ways. I particularly feel he is a “master of redirection” which is difficult to do at times but he’s amazing at it. Positivity creates a safe environment for disabled people who have “closed down” and are not taking learning risks. We are grateful to be a part of Weist-Barron-Ryan’s Rising Stars Acting Program as their nurturing, caring positive environment is almost impossible to find!

What is so wonderful about Jeremy's acting workshop? Where do I begin! He's using his voice more, projecting with emotions, connecting with his peers, and has found a creative outlet. The guidance and support through his incredible teacher, Rob, is just amazing. Teachers like him are like conductors that are patient, observant, clever, and kind. This enables each student to bring their best qualities forward with lots of laughter along the way! I am so proud of my son and what he's accomplished in this wonderful class, and I know he is proud of himself. He recently typed out "I love acting!"; I think that says it all!
